Iced Rooibos Tea Recipe

This refreshing iced Rooibos tea is easy to make and perfect for a hot day. It’s naturally caffeine-free, lightly sweet, and full of antioxidants.

Ingredients:

• 4 teaspoons Rooibos loose leaf tea (or 4 Rooibos tea bags)
• 4 cups water
• 1-2 tablespoons honey or sugar (optional, to taste)
• Lemon slices or mint leaves for garnish
• Ice cubes

Instructions:

1. Boil the Water: Bring 4 cups of water to a boil in a pot or kettle.
2. Steep the Rooibos: Once the water reaches a boil, remove it from the heat. Add the Rooibos tea leaves or tea bags to the hot water. Cover and let it steep for 5-10 minutes, depending on how strong you prefer the flavour.
3. Sweeten (Optional): If using sweeteners like honey or sugar, stir it into the hot tea until fully dissolved.
4. Cool the Tea: Remove the tea bags or strain the tea leaves, then let the tea cool to room temperature.
5. Chill: Transfer the cooled tea to a pitcher and place it in the refrigerator to chill for at least 1-2 hours.
6. Serve: Fill glasses with ice cubes and pour the chilled Rooibos tea over the ice. Garnish with lemon slices or mint leaves for added flavour.

Optional Additions:

• Add fresh fruits like berries or peach slices for a fruity twist.
• Fresh ginger or cinnamon sticks (Omit mint leaves)
• For an extra kick, add a splash of sparkling water before serving.
